TOP 10 ILCC VIOLATIONS
What are the top liquor violations? ILCC liquor agents conduct over 20,000 yearly liquor inspections throughout the state. Listed below are the FY 2007 Top Ten Violations reported during these inspections (fiscal years run from July 1-June 30). We encourage you to become familiar with this list and share it with your staff, so you can avoid making these same mistakes in your establishment. 1. Contaminated liquor (1,238 violations). 2. Sale to minors (427). 3. IBT (Illinois Business Tax) certificate not available (404). 4. Pregnancy warning sign not displayed (402). 5. 90 days of invoices (or waiver) not available (382). 6. Revenue certificate not attached to coin-operated amusement devices (285). 7. State license not displayed (203). 8. Unsanitary taps (193). 9. Liquor purchased at retail (131). 10. State license not valid (119). |
