ILBA Position on Local Smoking Bans

Serving the Hospitality Industry
Smoking bans, tax and fee increases, lowering the legal BAC level below .08, sprinkler installation mandates, mandatory deposit, keg registration, underage sting operations

The list goes on. The retail businesses in our industry are a target. The only effective way to protect the businesses in our industry is to join together in one united force.

The Illinois Licensed Beverage Association is the advocate for retail businesses engaged in the sale or service of beverage alcohol. A not-for-profit business trade association, the ILBA is the oldest retail hospitality industry business trade association in the nation, having been founded in 1880.

Over 2,500 retail businesses throughout Illinois are members of the ILBA. Taverns, nightclubs, restaurants, bowling centers, fraternal organizations, hotel and motel lounges, gas stations, convenience stores and package stores comprise ILBA's membership.

If you have multiple employees that need certification, we can create a corporate account for you. Having a corporate account makes training that much easier. We issue you a secure code that your employees will use to access the training course. We will then bill you on a monthly basis for their certifications. A Corporate Account Application is available for download by clicking the link.
The ILBA's mission is to improve the business climate for all Illinois retail businesses licensed to serve or sell beverage alcohol. ILBA dues are intentionally very inexpensive so that even the smallest retail business can easily afford to join - and 70 percent of ILBA dues are tax deductible. The strength of our industry is the number of businesses we have throughout the state in every community. If your business is not a member of the ILBA, please join today to strengthen our ability to protect your business
